Well it is the weekend before Christmas and I really wanted to see Brisbane and all the free things to do this time of the year. So I made arrangement with family for parking, as grumpy wanted to stay at home, so when family invited themselves I loved it as more the merrier.
So the plan was part together, collect family members, park the car and catch the train to Southbank and do the Christmas markets, head from there to the Queen street mall to see the Myer windows and the David Jones lights parade. Then up to see the City Halls lights and tree, then wonded up to see Roma street parkland "Enchanted Garden" lights, somewhere in the dinner so let the day begin.
So after family get together and short train trip we got to Southbank in Brisbane. The markets start at 3:00pm everyday up to Christmas but we also found out there are movies on the beach and carols in the park and fireworks every night.
Heading over to the city after nice walk through Southbank and stopping for coffee, the walk was great, as we are walking down the Queen street mall we found the Myer's Christmas windows which are so cute a tell the story of an Elf finding a Perfect Christmas. As we kept walking we were to meet up with the rest of the family for dinner but found out everyone was all ready lining up for the parade. So we found a space send messages for the meet up and waited for the David Jone Parade.
The David Jone light Parade was fantastic so enjoyed watching all the children getting balloon and hats before the parade begins. The mall also alive with buskers and decorations you could really feel the excitement and joy of Christmas
From the mall we walked up to King George Square to see the tree and story in lights, as we walked up we saw the Pig and Whistle across from City Hall. So we ate dinner and watch the show.
So after watching the story one last time we took the walk up to the Roma street parklands, what we didn't realise that they closed at 9:30pm and we got there at nine with a long wait ahead. Luckily enough we were the last group allowed into the "Enchanted Garden" for the night and nearly the last to leave but I will have to say they were a magical and fantastical, just plain out beautiful.

we all had a wonderful night and full of the christmas spirit.
Merry Christmas 2017 and Happy New Year Everyone
